Founded by Ellen Leedham, Salthouse Design provides a full Interior Design, Furnishings and Project Management service and offers a wealth of Interior Design expertise to your project.
Ellen has eighteen years experience working in the creative industry as a professional Interior Designer. Studying Interior Design at UCA in Farnham she went on to work for top interior design practices such as Conran & Partners and Richmond International before finding her role as Lead Designer at Suna Interior Design where she spent over a decade working with with some of London’s premier developers.
Originally from Christchurch, Dorset, Ellen’s connection to the coastline is visible in her work. Subtle use of coastal texture and colour notes often feature in her projects and the choice of natural materials also reflects Ellen’s sustainable approach to projects. She currently lives with her family in Kent whilst delivering projects across the country.

Katharine trained at the British College of Interior Design before joining Salthouse Design where she has been part of the studio since 2024.
She leads our Dorset-based studio, overseeing projects across Dorset, the New Forest and Hampshire. With a background in the creative industries, Katharine brings a thoughtful, narrative-led approach to interiors, shaped by a strong connection to the coast and the surrounding landscape.
Her love of flowers and foliage subtly influences her work, resulting in calm, layered interiors that gently blur the line between inside and out.
